For our unique American-Ukrainian team, the 4th of July is more than a date on the calendar – it’s a shared spirit that fuels our work and our lives. Our Ukrainian team, facing daily challenges most of us can’t imagine, embodies that spirit in a way that’s deeply inspiring. Their dedication to their work and resilience are astonishing.
One of our Ukrainian developers, Iryna, continues to work on groundbreaking projects despite the uncertainty and challenges at home. Iryna’s husband, a former teacher, is currently defending the country on the front lines. Every evening, she eagerly awaits his brief phone calls, filled with worry and news from the battlefield. Her elderly parents, who once lived in a vibrant community in the east of Ukraine, had to be evacuated and now live with her in a small apartment in Kyiv. They reminisce about the past and hope for a future where they can return home.
Despite these hardships, Iryna remains hopeful, holding on to the dream of returning to her childhood home in the now-occupied part of Ukraine. Her story is a powerful testament to the strength and resilience of all the Ukrainians. She finds solace in her work, knowing that each line of code she writes contributes to a better future.
Iryna’s story is just one example of the indomitable spirit that drives our team. This 4th of July, we not only express our gratitude but also celebrate the shared values that make our company so unique. We celebrate the spirit of freedom that fuels innovation and progress, the freedom to think differently, to challenge norms, and to build a better future together.
